FAQ
What is the difference between margin and markup?
Margin is profit as a share of the selling price; markup is profit as a share of the cost. An item that costs ₹800 and sells for ₹1,000 has a 20% margin but a 25% markup.
Is 20% + 10% discount the same as 30% off?
No. The second discount applies to the already reduced price, so 20% and then 10% off works out to 28% off in total.
